WELCOME IN THE NEWS
The35standard.com is a place where information and ideas concerning the efforts to require every new vehicle more efficient. More specifically, to make every vehicle travel 35 miles per gallon.

There are already vehicles on the market that achieve this goal. The goal is to make auto manufacturers engineer all of their vehicles to get a minimum of 35MPG.

We need your help gathering information, using our forums to discuss ways to put the pressure on lawmakers and auto makers, and spread the word about this site and others who are fighting for the same standards.

We can pressure lawmakers by writing letters and emails. We can bring the issue to the forefront by encouraging open and honest discussion any forum possible.

We can pressure the automakers by speaking with our wallets. Automakers are in it for the profits. If we all make purchasing decisions based on the 35 MPG standard they will have no choice except to discontinue manufacturing gas guzzling vehicles or reengineer them to meet the standard.

This site is in its infancy. We will be adding new content daily. Please feel free to send us information that will help with our grass roots mission.
